I just bought a used Vulcan 500 (All I could afford)and like it quite well. I've ridden since I was 9 years old and have ridden all the Jap brands and like them all really well. I didn't know what all the whoop la over a Harley was and I found it hard to discuss because I've never ridden a Harley. Until a few days ago. My buddy has a new 1200 Sportster and his wife a new Heritage Classic Softtail. He let me ride both of them. And while I thought the Sportster shook way to much, I really fell for the Heritage. I am a big guy and bought my Vulcan 500 because it was all I could afford. Even though I like it I would have liked a big bike. But it will do for now since the 500 has a pretty big frame. But this Heritage was nice. I also got my chance to ride a new Yamaha RoadStar 1600. Another nice ride. I still don't know what all the whoop la over a Harley is cause the Yamaha was just as nice. I still think that there are good bike made in the US and Japan and many other places. But you know what, I get the same wind in my face on the Yamaha, the Harley or even my Kawasaki. As long as it has two wheels... Have fun and ride safe...
